On starting up an organisation will spend huge time and effort in building up a reputation - this can be a lengthy process and can be seriously damaged or destroyed much quicker and with more effect. If you fail to pay attention to health & safety and the environment you will in all likelihood have an increased accident/incident rate, the morale of your workforce will be lowered and potential customers will be put off. Repairing a poor reputation can be even more difficult than building one up in the first place. |
