It is a requirement under a number of regulations to ensure that all electrical equipment is properly selected and is adequately maintained. Regular testing of portable electrical appliances helps to identify equipment that may require to be repaired so as to meet the required standard of electrical safety.

Portable Appliance Testing carried out in the areas of:

bulletTourism - hotels, B&Bs, self-catering etc.
bulletConstruction - All portable electrical equipment whether 230V or 110V
bulletWorkshops - all workshop sites, including vehicle maintenance

 

As part of this service you will receive the following:

bulletEach item of equipment should be individually identifiable. A logsheet will be created for each item of electrical equipment in use within your organisation. The logsheet is designed to record the complete history of the equipment to which it refers.
bulletA PAT folder to contain all relevant documentation, including logsheets.
bulletAdvice as to the frequency of formal testing and inspection.
bulletLabels - equipment ID, test status; date of next test.
bulletA report on each formal test and inspection.
bulletMinor repairs carried out.
bulletA reminder shortly before the next scheduled test and inspection.
